Daniel Kammen has worked with renewable energy and energy systems for many years, both in OECD and non-OECD countries. He was previously a Climate Envoy for the World Bank. He established RAEL (Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory) at Berkeley, which has worked extensively on access to renewable energy in both heavy grid-connected systems and smaller off-grid systems.
