Nordic Energy Solutions for the Green Transition
Nordic Energy Research is excited to announce that the first call “Nordic Energy Solutions for the Green Transition” is open for proposals for research projects
The aim of the first call in the programme is to provide solutions for the major energy challenges faced by our societies and businesses in the green transition. As we move towards carbon neutrality, there is a need for joint Nordic research and a shared knowledge foundation to identify the best solutions to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities in the field of sustainable energy.

Five thematic angles
The first research call is organized within five thematic angles: 1) Smart Energy Systems, 2) Sustainable Energy, 3) Green Transport, 4) Energy Markets, and 5) Energy & Society, which are intended to complement national R&D programs and serve the common interest of all Nordic countries. The full call text will be publicized when the call portal opens at the end of April. Webinars will also be held to increase awareness of the call requirements, design, and rules for projects to be funded.
Nordic added value of the programme
“Nordic added value” points us in the direction of what we are looking for: Solutions that will work better, if implemented together, between neighbouring Nordic countries and across our borders. Projects should create outcomes and impact of greater value for the countries involved than could be achieved through national activities alone.
