A three-day autumn school with focus on redox flow batteries’ kinetics and thermodynamics, modelling, and commercialization takes place at University of Turku.
- Target group: PhD students and researchers with an interest in flow battery
- Time: November 24-26 – Register here.
The autumn school is arranged by The Nordic Flow Battery Network (NordicRFB). The network promotes collaboration and coordination of flow battery research in the Nordic region through mobility and networking grants to PhD students and researchers. NordicRFB is a part of the PhD and Researcher Mobility Network, which is funded by Nordic Energy Research.
Outcome
At the Nordic Flow Battery Network Autumn School, you will get to expand your knowledge on Electrokinetic and osmotic effects, Non-equilibrium thermodynamics, Commercialization, COMSOL Modelling, and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations. These topics will be addressed through tutorials, invited lectures, and poster sessions. One day is dedicated to the students presenting their work.
In connection with registration, remember to submit an abstract for a presentation and/or poster related to flow battery systems. PhD students can be awarded with 1 ECTS credit for their abstract upon request.
The registration fee is 350€, and accommodation can be arranged for an additional 200€.
