In January 2024, a budget of 500,000 NOK was made available to support networking and events under the Nordic Energy Research Mobility Programme. The call was so popular that the dedicated budget had been fully utilized after only a few months, and the call successfully closed last week with four well-planned projects granted funding.
“Research mobility is an important tool for bringing together Nordic research environments and creating long-lasting Nordic collaborations and knowledge building,” says Klaus Skytte, CEO of Nordic Energy Research. “The spread and great interest in the programme demonstrate its importance across the entire energy sector and energy cooperation in the Nordic region.”
Four projects
The four projects that have been awarded funding are:
- Nordic Workshop for Nature-positive Solar Energy, Aalto University
- Nordic Offshore Wind Conference – Connecting the Baltic Sea with the North Sea, University of Southern Denmark
- Photovoltaic/Thermal Technologies and Applications in the Nordics: Challenges and Opportunities, Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
- Energy Informatics Academy Nordic 2024, University of Southern Denmark
Nordic Energy Research invites PhD students and researchers to apply again for Networking and Event Support starting from 1 January 2025, when the call reopens with a new budget for the year. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the call text for further details and prepare accordingly until then.
