The jury was in no doubt, and with the following words, they nominated Dr. Krishnaswamy Sankaran to this year’s winner of Nordic Energy Challenge.

“With descriptive illustrations, a well-reasoned selection of sources, and an energetic presentation, Krishnaswamy Sankaran demonstrates remarkable understanding of the barriers and opportunities faced by the Nordic transport sector. Consideration for all relevant actors is consistent throughout the proposal.The proposal emphasises systemic innovation, which although difficult, is essential to realize the green transition. Another distinctive feature is the focus on digitalisation and life cycle assessments of Nordic transport systems, to identify gaps and bottlenecks hindering decarbonisation. The winning proposal offers a fresh perspective on the Nordic transport sector.”
